Summary
The team conducted comprehensive traffic and safety evaluations, including sign and speed studies on GHBR and Carpenter, and researched industry standards for feedback signage. They identified and documented obscured intersections and signs, sharing findings with the Department of Public Works (DPW). Collaborative meetings were held with South Kingstown Town representatives—including DPW, the police chief, Town Council members, and the Bike/Pedestrian Advisory Panel—to discuss traffic calming measures.
Additional efforts included assessing health and safety concerns across residential, oceanfront, beach, and recreational areas, exploring the feasibility of installing an AED at the tennis courts, and overseeing the creation and placement of new signage for the pond, park, and courts.
