May 27th – Boat Stickers
Bill and Kathy Conlin provided boat stickers at the kayak launch area on Saturday, May 27th. All craft must have stickers if stored at the kayak launch area. If you were not able to make it to pick up your sticker, please reach out to Bill Conklin. Also, if you do not have a key to the shed where paddles, vests, and other recreation equipment are stored, make sure to
let Bill and Kathy know when you pick up your sticker.
June 10th – GHCA Members Meeting 10:00am
The GHCA Members Meeting occurred on Saturday, June 10th at 10:00am via Zoom.
June 24th – Season Kickoff Dinner
100 Green Hill neighbors kicked off the GHCA summer season at the beautiful Bravo by the Sea in Matunuck Saturday night with delicious food and lively conversion!
July 5th – Sidewalk Chalk Day
This event for children of all ages was held at the corner of Land and Sea and Carpenter Drive on Wednesday, July 5th at 10am.
July 4th – Parade 11:00 am
The parade kicked off on Tuesday, July 4th at 11am. The neighborhood paid tribute to Ron, “The Colonel,” Dubois who was the founding father of this wonderful event.
July 16th – Bocce Tournament
Congratulations to Mary Beth and Tim Spillane as champions at this year’s GHCA Bocce tournament. A very respectable second place was awarded to Lisa and Jim Murphy, perennial winners on the GHCA Bocce tour.
Thank you to all who played, watched, helped, and braved the elements on yet another successful Bocce Tournament at GHCA. We look forward to next year’s tournament!!
July 22nd – Porchfest – Open Mic
On Saturday, July 22nd, we hosted the fourth annual Porchfest in the O’Connor’s backyard at 17 Border Avenue. Neighbors joined Mal and Bonnie O’Connor and their friends, Rik and Wendi Bourne, for an “open mike” evening of live music.
August 12th – Horseshoe Tournament
Our very first Horseshoe Tournament was held on Saturday, August 12th.
August 26th – Annual Members Meeting
The Annual Members meeting took place on Saturday, August 26th, via Zoom. Members selected Officers and Board Members who will serve the association for the next two years.
August 26th – End of Season Picnic
The annual End of Season Picnic at the GHCA recreation area was held on Saturday, August 26th at 3:30pm.
