Despite having to move Chalk Day from July 2nd to July 5th due to rain, we still had over 40 children show off their creativity on Land and Sea Drive.
It was a great group of artists and their family members who spent the morning drawing and chatting with neighbors. The children did some very inspired drawings of their favorite places in America. There were skylines of New York City, surfers on boogie boards, and a giant ice cream cone to name a few.
Brickley’s Ice Cream generously donated gift certificates to 3 lucky winners of the raffle drawing at the end of the event. The addition of the ice cream truck was a big hit for the kids as well as the parents!
A special thank you to Dawn McCabe, Marcia Ryter, Mary Ann and AJ Emanuel, Tim O’Connor, Linda Shaknaitis, and all the parents who came for helping with the organization and safety for this event.
