The Green Hill 4th of July Parade 2023 was very special this year.
It was the 35th year of Green Hill celebrating our nation’s birth with the best costumes, best decorations, best music, best ice cream truck, and best participation ever.
It was also a tribute to the parade’s founding father, Colonel Ronald DuBois.

The DuBois and Peterson families started the parade 35 years ago with a few families in the neighborhood and watched it grow to the wonderful show of patriotism it is today.
There are many people involved in making this fun event work every year, come rain or shine. Diane and Tim Tolokan have been The Colonel’s right hands throughout the years, while the entire DuBois family has coordinated the music, prizes, and gifts. With many friends and neighbors contributing their time and talents as well.
This year Dan DuBois started the ceremony off and paid tribute to his father, then Tim O’Connor joined in to take Tim Tolokan’s place alongside Dan. The Colonel left big shoes to fill but Dan and Tim managed it with grace and humor.
The parade is such a wonderful tradition in Green Hill that the social committee made sure that it would continue with the same enthusiasm that The Colonel and Dee Dubois have brought to it for 35 years!
